We use an Arctic Steamer. Lower pressure so it won’t damage roofing material, 290 degree steam means less water run off & faster ice removal, no hammering or pounding means piece of mind for your roof and the equipment can be used at temperatures well below freezing. The steamer is the first and only designed specifically as an ice dam steamer.

If you have an active Ice Dam and are considering options, avoid using hot water pressure washers as they can damage shingles or the underlying roof.

How much does the service cost?

This service can vary on cost due to the time of the year or how large ice dams are. We charge an hourly rate of $600-$900 with a minimum of 2hrs. We also provide solutions to install the heat tape after the steaming to provide a viable solution to preventing it all winter long.
